Chevron — Benicia, CA
Chevron demolished an existing gas station and service bays, to add a C-Store and additional fueling stations. The new station has a 1,900 square foot “Food Mart” with 4 pumps. The “prototype” architecture was modified to complement the adjacent shopping center. In addition to the design, ARC Inc. handled all of the entitlements for the project. Planning approvals included a zone text amendment, design review, and a conditional use permit for the convenience store. The use permit, which was approved by the Planning Commission, was appealed by the neighbors to the City Council. Our aggressive lobbying efforts resulted in the denial of the appeal and full project approval.
