Empress Theater — Vallejo

The Empress will be renovated into a multi-venue Performing Arts Theater, the keystone for the new Art and Entertainment District in historic downtown Vallejo. Originally built as a vaudeville theater in 1910, it was converted to a cinematic theater in the 1920's. The Empress will be designed as a venue for theater groups, orchestras and other musical ensembles including the Symphony, and historical film groups. The renovated theater will include luxurious continental seating, a new stage, fully operational fly for stage sets and curtains, theater lighting, dressing rooms, greenroom, orchestra pit with lift, sound system, sound booth and a new marquee.
