Humphrey's Residence — Benicia, CA

This custom home sits in the St. CatherineÕs Wood Development of Benicia. This exclusive development offers stunning views of the Benicia Downtown and waterfront areas. The downward sloping lot offered us not only the beautiful vistas, but the challenge of how to use the space. We incorporated wrap around decks on two levels to help the owners enjoy their views more and to compensate for a lack of a yard on the property. The home features a number of striking staircases such as the entry way, the spiral staircase off of the back deck, and the most dramatic - the interior staircase which wraps inside the center tower and access the entire home. The exterior style is meant to incorporate the demands of The Benicia Historical community in addition to creating a beautiful home.
